JANIRE ZURBANO ARRESE
Today, March 17th, Ireland celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and Spain joins the party, together with many places around the world. For the last two days, various famous Spanish sites have been turned green to celebrate this special day with those Irish people who live in Spain. Yesterday, the communications Palace in Madrid and the Tower of Hercules in A Coruña (Galicia) turned green, among other Spanish buildings.
Moreover, Moraira (Alicante) illuminated its castle and Main Square green for the weekend, coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day music festival. Pamplona and Salamanca also honoured Irish Patron Saint turning their council houses green last night.
