Spain on alert of snow, rain, wind and heavy swell

If you are we thinking of traveling to Spain to enjoy a few days of sunshine, we warn you that this is not the best moment. Today, a total of 41 provinces will remain in orange and yellow alert for risk of wind, rain, snow and coastal phenomena, according to the Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
The most significant snowfall is expected in Cantabria and to a lesser extent in the Basque Country, where coastal phenomena will be strong. Snow and wind warning is also high in Castilla y León, while in Galicia waves up to seven meters are expected. The swell will be also heavy in Melilla and the Balearic Islands, while rain and high winds threaten Aragon, Madrid, Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla La-Mancha and Catalonia. Wind and coastal phenomena also lurk Andalucía, Extremadura, Canary Islands, Valencia and Murcia, with yellow alert.
The Aemet warns that with orange weather alert there is a significant risk and unusual meteorological phenomena, while the yellow weather alert does not mean a risk for general population.
