The Formula One World Championship is ready to take off this weekend at Albert Park (Melbourne). On Sunday, March 14th, the new season will begin, but today and tomorrow pilots will start with the official trainings. The first contact with the Aussie circuit will take place at 2:30 a.m., Spanish time, and the second part at 6.30 a.m., Spanish time too. Moreover, tomorrow we will know the starting grid for Australian Grand Prix on Sunday.

This season we will enjoy the new V6 turbo engines. Besides, three men are joining the list of drivers for the first time: Magnussen in McLaren, Kvyat in Toro Rosso and Ericsson in Caterham. There will also be significant changes within teams like the return of Raikkonen to Ferrari and Massa joining Williams. The GP of Russia and Austria will be added to the calendar replacing India and South Korea. There will be changes in the scoring system as well, with the final race in Abu Dhabi delivering double points.

During the preseason, Mercedes engines have dominated the track, engines that we will not only find in the German team but also in McLaren, Force India and Williams. All these four teams have led the timesheets in eleven of the twelve trial workdays. In addition, Ferrari has achieved good results thanks to the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, the second who has raced more miles after Nico Rosberg from Mercedes.
