Hard Rock will build its largest European facility at BCN World, the tourism and leisure complex on the coast of Tarragona, according to BCN World president Xavier Adserà. Adserà has also added that Hard Rock will be responsible for the second resort (with a hotel, a casino and a theatre) among the six that complete the project.

 

In addition, the president of BCN World has assured that casino games will be highly present because they provide a different offer as well as they attract Asian tourism. However, he said that the game will be a complementary activity for visitors who will visit the Ebro Delta area, Barcelona and Port Aventura amusement park during the day. Thus, they will play in casinos in their free time or at night.

 

Regarding the schedule, construction is expected to begin before the end of the year and the first phase of the complex may be opened in 2017, when the Mediterranean Games will take place in Tarragona. Furthermore, BCN World estimates that the construction of the complex will create 17,000 jobs and afterwards each resort will employ 5,000 people.
