The creators of the famous series The Simpsons have shown the corruption in Spain once again, but this time instead of using politicians, they have opted for originality: they have chosen the Spanish National Football Team as a victim of their jokes. We are talking about the episode released in the USA in March 30th, entitled You Don't Have to Live Like a Referee.

In this episode, Homer is recruited as a World Cup Soccer referee after Lisa extolls his integrity on the youth soccer field in a Springfield Elementary speech contest. But when the Simpsons travel to Brazil, Homer finds his honesty tested by many bribers.

During the match between Spain and Brazil, a Spanish soccer player is guilty of serious foul play, so Homer shows him the red card. However, the player apologizes and returns the car together with a wad of money, but then Homer gives the money back to him with another car. And so on until the package becomes a soccer ball that Homer kicks and scores the goal against Spain. This sequence, highly commented on social networks, has a million views on YouTube.
